Tampon Users Turn To eBay As The Shortage Continues

Loyal customers to the feminine o.b tampons are turning to eBay since the popular brand by Johnson & Johnson disappeared from the store shelves since late fall.

Some of the tampons are going for 14 times the regular price of $5.50-lucky are the eBay sellers who have these product in stock because they laughing all the way to the bank.

The bidding intensified Wednesday night as woman turned to eBay for the nonapplicator tampons which Johnson & Johnson blames the shortfall on manufacturing and distribution glitch.

The asking price shot to $150 for 3 boxes these morning as woman search high and low for their favorite product. For most women the choice of a tampon is personal, some women have used the product for over 20 years because of their compact size and comfort. The tampons unlike their competitor come without an applicator therefore more convenient than their counterparts.

eBay Your Small Business Solution

Your keys to success on eBay depend on how much you really want to succeed. I have heard so many excuses why individuals are not using eBay to make money on demand.

Here are some of the excuses I hear frequently; “I don’t have enough education” I am too young” “ I am too old” “I am just not lucky” “I am not smart enough” the list goes on and on but really what is your excuse.

Remember when Google stock was trading for $100 per stock and everyone ignored the wave, now imagine you had taken the chance, you would be sitting on $500 per stock. Same to eBay since the market is growing rapidly and eBay is making the site more safe and secure for you.

Your worst enemy is you because you are always giving yourself all kinds of excuses as to why you cannot start your business on eBay today.

Start small by helping other business list on eBay part-time and soon you will be a consultant without you ever risking your current job or spending any money.

Here is something I did a few years ago when I was struggling, I went to a family store in town and offered to list their unsold items on eBay instead of them starting a sale or returning them to the vendor.

Therefore, I went to their store every Wednesday took a few pictures of the products they were planning to put them on sale.

They agreed to run the eBay account and so my job was to list these items on their eBay store every week. After four months, they had made so much money they decided to move half of their merchandise to their eBay.

My commission went up, they were pleased, and soon other businesses were calling me.

There is another secret, you do not have to own any merchandise to be successful on eBay. You just need to be creative and put in some hard work.

Let me let you in to my little secret…I make more money in 2 hours than I made working 80 hours a week for my mean ungrateful boss.

How To Start Your eBay Enterprise On A Shoe String Budget

Bill came to me recently with this idea of “venture capital” to start his eBay business. I could not believe what I heard.

First, I congratulating him on his new business plan because eBay is one place anyone can make a buck regardless of education plus business is booming on eBay.

I asked him why he did not want to start his business on a shoestring without going into debt. Honestly, if you want to become rich fast you do not start in debt but you work your way up like a smart entrepreneur.

Well, so my advice to Bill was for him to keep his current job and start an eBay business slowly. Do it on a part time basis, in the evenings and weekends. In other, words figure out eBay first through trial and error before seeking capital.

Bill is a teacher so I asked him to keep his day job and not borrow any money until he was sure of the business. I believe all business should start from the bottom up and not the other way round.

His main interest was to sell vintage clothing so I asked him to sell what was already in his possession then go to the local Goodwill and Salvation Army. Sometimes you can find vintage clothing in consignment stores at relatively low price.

Staying profitable is the key to any entrepreneurial growth and so I asked Bill to raise capital that way and finally get financing.

The problem of getting financing at the beginning of a business is if your business is not successful, you are stuck with debt for a very long time. I have seen so many people make this mistake so many times.

Starting your eBay business from a shoestring budget is better way. Why take the risk now before you test the market. So keep your job for the moment although I am sure you are tired of commuting and that mean boss.

Plan your exist strategy careful and soon you will join the ranks of eBay millionaires.

Five Things You Should know about eBay

Gone are the days when eBay was a walk in the park. You got away with literally anything unless the buyer slapped you with a negative feedback but still a negative was just a negative-sorry not any more.

When a buyer gives you a negative that means you just lost your share of eBay. The more negatives and complaints you receive the worse. Then there is DSR (Detail Seller Rating) where a buyer secretly reports their experience. They give you a positive feedback then turn around and give you low DSR.

Low DSR is a killer because the more low DSR you have the worst your situation. Your listing will fall dramatically and your items will not show in the best match search. I have heard of a situation where sales go down so drastically because buyers can only see your items when they go to your store.

What are the five things you must do to succeed on eBay?

1) Describe your item accurately. Do not lie to anyone because you will receive a serious penalty. Write a complete description with clear pictures and make sure all the flaws are listed.

2) Communicate with your buyer. Inform them when the item shipped and when to expect it and always thank them.

3) Ship fast if possible ships within 24 hours do not wait until the weekend. You can print shipping labels from eBay, get the item ready then drop it at the drop boxes or at the post office. I know most people work and eBay is their second income in that case set time every evening to print shipping labels then request pick up from the shipping company.

4) Be reasonable with your shipping charges. Do ask someone to pay you $8.00 for something you can ship for less than $3.00. Be reasonable because gone are the days you sold something for .99 then charge $19.00 to ship. You cannot get away with such anymore. Your DSR will suffer and eBay will set limits or worse ban you.

5) Watch your DSR like a hawk, I mean check it every time because it is the only way you can make money on eBay. Set yourself on the Top Rated Seller status and eBay will market your products 24/7 and the result will be more money in your pocket.

Accept Offers-eBay Business Strategy

Accepting offers is one fantastic eBay business strategy that most people ignore. Just set a higher price and let the buyers know the price is negotiable and your internet business will succeed. Best offer is a free feature on eBay and so useful and the good thing is you can reject, accept or make a counter offer to your satisfaction.

Best offers is a cost effective method because it allows the buyer to negotiate and you are the one who has control over the final price unlike the auction style where the buyer determines the final price.

How to Sell Online

Blogging is a great way to sell your eBay merchandise or sell online in general. Blogs are not only for people who write for a living, they are great for people who have products for sell. You can use a blog to drive customers to your eBay store.

By blogging, you will be able to communicate with potential customers and you can use it to advertise coupons or sales. A blog also the best place to tell your story, most people like reading stories so use your blog space wisely.

You also must provide excellent content because you want to provide your potential customers with value. Since you are seller on eBay try to explain the benefits of the products you are selling. Communicating the benefits of your products will be much easier if you a dealing with a particular niche.

Talk about the feedback you are getting from your past buyers if possible include their feedbacks on your posts. Look for stories about your products especially in the news; talk about them and always include new products.

Run contests and promotion on your blog especially if the product is in high demand. It will not hurt to give away one item and gain one hundred new customers.

You also have to update your blog on regular basis so your potential customers can know what offers you have for them on a regular basis.
